“Japanese Spring
Experience Sharing Tea in Japan, an artistic and cultural project centered on the theme of hospitality: Crossing the threshold, giving and receiving, rituals of hospitality in Asia.
From April 8 to 18, 2019, artist-leaders from the Musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet, accompanied by the Fondation Foujita, went out to meet families inAmiens and Montdidier in Picardy to enable them to enjoy aesthetic experiences together and reveal their sensitivity and creativity.
In Japan, sharing tea is also known as “The Way of Tea” and is based on four main values – WAKEISEIJAKU :
Over a 4-day period, some thirty parents and children took part in a series of workshops in a scenic area specially designed for this project.
The second stage took place at the beginning of July in Paris, with a visit to the Musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet.
This project was financed by the MNAAG thanks to the Ministry of Culture grant it received as part of the project to refound the Republican Pact through access to culture and national outreach for the benefit of all (Minister’s note of 22/12/2017).
Here are a few testimonials:

Special thanks to :
- Cécile Becker and Hélène Baudelet, Rachel Auriol, Claire Landais, Magali Satgé, Tomoko Furukawa and Françoise Pelenc from MNAAG
- Jocelyne Drocourt, Hélène Leduc, Antoine Vandame and volunteers from Maisons des familles in Amiens and Montdidier.
- And let’s not forget the families, parents and children, for their trust, hospitality and talent.
Apprentis d’Auteuil is convinced that parents who are solid in their role as educators help their children to blossom, and intervenes via the Maisons des Familles to support parents who are weakened in their role, defuse educational difficulties and strengthen the parent-child bond.
A place for families, professionals and volunteers to share ideas, the Maisons des Familles help parents regain confidence in their educational abilities. Through exchange and mutual support, and with the benevolent presence of a permanent team, they share their experiences, questions and difficulties without fear of being judged, and strengthen their skills.
